What is Duplication and Why is It So Important in Network Marketing

Duplication is one of the most important concepts in network marketing or MLM.

Network marketing or MLM business model is greatly dependent on team building (or downline building) concept.

Any network marketing company’s compensation plan is designed is to pay its salespeople or distributors, through their own efforts, and also their downline’s efforts.

As a distributor of your MLM company,  to ensure good income from your own effots and your downline’s efforts, you must be able to implement duplication within your downline.

Generally, your downline will composed of different levels, or different generations.

Each level or generation is represented by some ACTIVE people, who are actively involved with the MLM company.

So, your first level (or first generation) would be comprised of the people whom you are recruiting into the company.

Your second level are comprised of the people whom any person in your first level are recruiting.

Your third level are comprised of the people whom any person in your second level are recruiting.

and so on…

So, what does it mean by DUPLICATION?

Duplication, which also means copying or cloning, means that the people in your first level are copying or duplicating what you are doing. Then they are spreading this duplication to their first level, second level and so on.

So, duplication means, If you are making sales of the products of the company, they are also doing the same.

If you are recruiting others to the company, they are also doing the same.

So, as you can see, for duplication to happen, you need to TEACH your first level, how you are doing these things (making sales of the company’s products and recruiting others to the company).

As their sponsor or upline member, teaching and supporting your team members, is really one of your main responsibilities, that you cannot avoid.

Because when you are able to teach them these things, they will be able to do these things. Not only that, then they will be able to “duplicate the process to their first level (who are your second level).

Thus, you can see, if duplication happens properly, then as more time passes, your downline will grow to more levels, and more active members will be present within your downline, who are making sales and building their own downline.

This will ultimately lead to more monthly residual income for you. And as time passes your monthly income is more likely to grow (because your active downline will continue to grow).

Remember that, network marketing is ALL ABOUT DUPLICATION.

Unless duplication happens, your downline will not grow.

So, what do you need to do, so that proper duplication happens in your downline?

I suggest you to have a system, or easy to follow process, that everyone can follow.

This is not easy to do, because all your downline members will have different attitudes and personalities.

However, you can always show them what you are doing, what have worked for you, what you are going to do in future.

The people who like what you have done, will follow you. Some of the others will take ideas from what you said to them, then create their own process of doing the work, for making sales of the products and build their downline.

Anything is good for you. All you want is to get them become active and involved with the company.

Moreover, you can always continue to guide and support them, if you come up with any new ideas that you think is easy to do and will work for the majority of people.

You also want to be more informed and knowledgeable about the company, its products, the sales process that are working for you, etc, so that you can guide and support your downline team properly.

Remember, monitoring and supporting your downline team is most likely going to be a continuous process, that you cannot ignore doing. By putting more of your focus on this aspect of your MLM business, you will find more opportunities for growing your business and income.

Conclusion

For duplication to begin within your downline team, first you need to have some active team members within your first generation. And then you need to show them how they can make money with the network marketing company.

Then as they duplicate that to their first level and so on .. your downline levels will start to grow automatically.

And as time passes, depending on your team members, who are able to duplicate, your downline will continue to grow to more levels.

Also, you want duplication to happen within your downline AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. Because the sooner duplication starts, the sooner your downline will start to grow.
