The Importance of Leverage in Network Marketing

SFI is primarily a network marketing company. SFI’s compensation plan follows the same principles of a network marketing compensation plan.

In a network marketing compensation plan, you get paid not only from your own efforts for generating sales (your own personal sales), but also from the efforts of the sales generated by your downline members (your team sales).

Thus comes the IMPORTANCE of “leverage” in network marketing.

What is leverage?

Leverage is the ability to achieve a GREATER RESULT OR GAIN from a LESSER INVESTMENT – whether that investment is TIME (EFFORT), KNOWLEDGE or MONEY.

LEVERAGE is a very powerful wealth building tool. It is equally important in all kinds of businesses. All successful business owners, at a certain time in their businesses, used LEVERAGE to massively increase the results (and hence revenues) from their businesses.

Robert Kiyosaki has said, “leverage is the reason some people become rich and others do not.”

J. Paul Getty has said, “I’d rather have 1% of the effort of 100 men than 100% of my own effort.”

How to Implement Leverage in Your Business

To implement leverage into your business, two of the main sources for implementing leverage are

(1) Using Other People

(2) Using a proper system

(1) Using Other People

When you are using other people in your business, to generate leverage or “leveraged income”, you can use their time (effort), knowledge, or money.

In any company, these other people’s are the employees of different departments within the company.

In your network marketing business, these other people are your active downline members.

(a) Using other people’s time (effort)

When your downline team members put their time and effort in generating sales, you earn leveraged income from their efforts. Your network marketing company should give you overriding bonus from each sale each of your team members generate.

In SFI, each product at tripleclicks has some sales versa points (sales VPs) attached to it. Whenever any of your downline members generate a sale, he/she also earns the sales VPs attached to the product. If you are at least a bronze team leader rank in SFI, you will earn the same “matching VPs”. This way you can earn matching VPs from each sale any of your downline members make. Your total matching VPs will then give you more shares (more earning) from the Tripleclicks Executive Pool (one share for each matching versa point you earn).

Tripleclicks exec pool is a pool where each month, 40% of all income from the sales that happens at tripleclicks, is distributed in this pool. Then, every month, this money is distributed amongst all SFI affiliates, depending on how many VPs that affiliate has earned for the month (one VP equals one share of the pool).

(b) Using other people’s knowledge

All businesses are TEAM SPORTS. You can not learn everything and do everything in your business, by yourself. You need to depend on other people’s knowledge.

A person in your team might have a special knowledge in a specific area that can greatly imcrease results in your business.

Some members of your downline team may be able to market a certain product of your network marketing company more effectively through facebook ads, or facebook groups, because they have got more knowledge in these areas.

Some members of your downline team may be able to market a certain product of your network marketing company more effectively through creating a number of blog posts, because they have got more knowledge in these areas. They know how to write interesting blog posts and how to generate quality traffic to those blog posts.

Some members of your downline team may be good at sending email followup messages, and hence they can teach their downline more effectively, and hence build a downline faster.

(c) Using other people’s money

In your network marketing company, some of your downline members may have more money that they can afford to invest in advertising, marketing, generating leads, facebook ads, solo ads, other paid advertising etc, and hence get quicker result from their advertising effort.

Here you are leveraging on the money of your downline members.

In SFI, there are many more ways to invest money, that can build your SFI business faster.

(2) Using a proper system

If you have a proper, easy to follow system in place, for your marketing, lead generation, training your downline members, generating sales etc, then you can just show the same system to your downline members, so that they can follow it, and hence DUPLICATION happens much faster in your team.

With a proper, easy-to-follow system in place, earning leveraged income becomes much easier (since your downline team is more likely to follow them, and generate sales by themselves).

Every successful entrepreneur has used the power of leverage to build up wealth. A company uses its employees as leverage.

In your network marketing business, your team of downline members, and your easy-to-follow-systems and are two of your main resources of leverage.

You should carefully think about how you can make the most of these two resources, that are available to you.

Let me get straight to the point. Network Marketing is NOT about generating a lot of sales by yourself (your personal sales). If that was your goal, then you could just join a direct selling company, rather than a network marketing company.

A network marketing compensation plan is built in such a way that you can get more income, when you focus on TEAM SALES (your downline team’s sales), rather than personal sales.

You will not create a substantial residual income, if you just focus on your own personal sales.

In your network marketing company, if you focus only on personal sales, at some point you may get burned out, or even limit yourself for the income you could generate if you rather focused on team sales.

Network Markeing is about a lot of people each doing a little bit each month, not a single person doing a lot.

When you join a network marketing company like SFI, your main aim is to create a few sales of the company’s products by yourself, then teach/train/show your downline members how to do those sales. This way, even if you are not working, you can earn override commissions from the sales that your downline team members are generating.
